Domestic Program

In February 2011, AFSL began testing and certifying consumer fireworks that are (a) imported as components and assembled into finished products, (b) imported in bulk and re-packaged for distribution in the U.S., and (c) fireworks that are fully manufactured in the U.S.  Testing and certification are performed by certified technicians located in the U.S., following procedures, sampling plans, etc. identical to those used in the testing program in China.  Domestic certification allows U.S. importers to file Certificates of Compliance that are required by CPSC on the AFSL website.
